Daniel Mizzi has a diverse work experience. Daniel started their career as a journalist and court reporter at MediaToday Co Ltd from October 2013 to April 2017. During this time, they covered court and crime stories, researched judgments, investigated stories, and liaised with legal professionals and law enforcement.
In 2013, Daniel also worked as a journalist at di-ve.com from January to October.
From June to September 2016, they worked as a Junior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers Malta, where they focused on commercial and corporate law, tax law, data protection law, and employment law.
Following that, in September 2016, Daniel joined GVZH Advocates as a Legal Trainee, gaining experience in financial services, corporate and M&A, and employment law. Daniel assisted with legal advice, licensing collective investment schemes, preparing regulatory submissions, and conducting legal research.
In 2017, Daniel returned to PricewaterhouseCoopers Malta as a Legal Associate until July 2019. Daniel then became a Legal Senior Associate, working within the firm's Tax and Legal Department on various practice areas such as corporate and commercial law, M&As, trusts, foundations and succession planning, AML, employment, and restructuring exercises. Daniel was involved in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal agreements, proposing legal courses of action, advising clients on legal rights, tax implications, and transactional and regulatory risks.
In 2021, Daniel moved to PwC Legal Germany as a Legal Senior Associate until March 2022.
Most recently, as of April 2022, Daniel joined GoldenPeaks Capital as the Senior Legal Counsel & Company Secretary.
Daniel Mizzi completed their education at the University of Malta. Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree in Law from 2012 to 2016. Subsequently, they pursued a Masters in Advocacy degree from 2016 to 2017 at the same institution. In October 2018, they obtained a Warrant to practice law from the Republic of Malta.
