Carey Halio

Carey Halio is Goldman Sachs’ Chief Strategy Officer, Global Head of Investor Relations and an Ex-Officio member of the Management Committee. She works closely with senior leadership to help execute the firm’s strategic priorities, and leads all aspects of investor relations including shareholders, fixed income investors, rating agencies and environmental, social and governance engagement. She is a member of the Partnership Committee and Firmwide Asset Liability Committee.

Previously, Ms. Halio was Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs Bank USA and Deputy Treasurer of Goldman Sachs. Before that, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Goldman Sachs Bank USA. Prior to that, Ms. Halio was Head of the Americas Financial Institutions team in Credit Risk. She started at Goldman Sachs in 1999 as a Summer Associate in Credit Risk in New York and rejoined the firm in 2000 in the same group. She was named Managing Director in 2009 and Partner in 2016.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Halio was a volunteer in the US Peace Corps in Guatemala, providing micro-credit assistance to local women.

Ms. Halio serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Whittier College and the Board of Directors of NeighborShare.
