Jonathan Thomas serves as the Managing Director and Global Head of Sanctions at Goldman Sachs, overseeing Financial Crime Compliance Operations and risk management since joining in October 2012. Prior to this role, Jonathan was with the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control from June 2007 to October 2012, where responsibilities included leading the Sanctions Group and managing financial sector investigations. Additionally, experience includes project management at Tufts University and serving as a State Representative in the Maine House of Representatives from 2000 to 2004. Jonathan holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Maine.
