Rafael Aguiar

Rafael Aguiar is a software engineer currently working at Goldsky since July 2023. Previously, Rafael served as a Senior Software Engineer - Data at Shopify from September 2019 to June 2023, where skills included extending Flink SQL connectors and optimizing batch job performance. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Engineer at In Loco Media and at Shopify, focusing on geolocation data processing and ensuring data quality. Rafael also worked as a Research Assistant at Western University, researching spatio-temporal forecasting techniques, and gained early experience as a Quality Assurance Intern at Distrix Inc. Educationally, Rafael holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Western University, along with Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science from both the University of British Columbia and Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
