José Pedro Magalhães

José Pedro Magalhães is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in systems engineering, particularly in the aerospace and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as a Juventas Systems Engineer at GomSpace since September 2020, responsibilities include technical management of subcontracts and interfacing with clients and suppliers, as well as leading the Deep Space Inter Satellite Link product as the Lead Systems Engineer. Prior to GomSpace, José held various positions at Tekever, including Gamalink SDR Product Lead and Team Lead, where significant contributions were made in product innovation, development processes, and team management. Early career experiences include roles as a Junior Systems Engineer and Junior Researcher, focusing on radio communication systems and cognitive radio applications. José holds a Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidade de Aveiro.
