Melissa Waite

Melissa Waite has a range of work experience in the field of human resources. Melissa started their career as an Intern at the American Lung Association in 2008. Later, they joined Gonzaga University where they held various roles. Starting as an HR Office Assistant, they performed reception duties, managed calendars, and maintained budgets. Melissa then transitioned to an HR Analyst role, where they facilitated hiring processes and assisted in HRIS administration. Melissa eventually became the HRIS and Projects Manager, overseeing HR reporting needs and managing technology-based projects. In their most recent position at Gonzaga University, they served as the Manager of HR Data & Systems, working closely with the HR leadership team to execute key HR initiatives and support process improvement. Currently, Melissa holds the position of Associate Director of HR Data & Systems at Gonzaga University.

Melissa Waite holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Health from Eastern Washington University, which they completed from 2005 to 2008. Melissa then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University from 2009 to 2011. In addition, Melissa obtained a certification as a Certified Associate in Project Manager from the Project Management Institute in June 2019.
