Sadaf Shafiei Sabet, PhD

Sadaf Shafiei Sabet, PhD has over 15 years of work experience in the fields of innovation, technology, product development, and engineering.

From 2005 to 2007, Sadaf worked as a Polymer Engineer Intern at Arj Company, where they were responsible for material identification and process improvement.

From 2007 to 2009, Sadaf worked as a Lead Process Engineer/Chemical Engineer at Emen Survey Engineering (ESE) Company. During this time, they managed numerous R&D projects, performed testing and product validation, and carried out field pilot plant implementation of engineering designs.

From 2009 to 2014, Sadaf worked as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia, Chemical and Biological Engineering. During this time, they designed and planned experiments involving preparation and testing of CNC suspensions, and collaborated with industrial experts at FPInnovations to achieve project objectives under budget.

From 2014 to 2015, Sadaf worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Team Leader at the Pulp and Paper Center, University of British Columbia. During this time, they were responsible for the operation of low-consistency pulp refinery pilot plant, supervised team tasks and plant operations, and coordinated tests for industrial clients as well as team members.

Finally, from 2015 to present, Sadaf has been working as Director of Innovation & Technology at good natured Products Inc. During this time, they have been responsible for strategy creation and execution for product assortments of good natured product lines, product innovations to continuously improve customer experience, and leading the engineering team in sourcing and development of new and customized products. Additionally, they have established an understanding of trends, policies and innovations in product development, developed proprietary formulations and led commercial launch of over 50 new products, and lead material and design team in testing and evaluation of new product performances.

Sadaf Shafiei Sabet, PhD, earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical and Biological Engineering from The University of British Columbia in 2013. Prior to this, they earned their Master's Degree in Polymer Engineering/ Nanotechnology from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic in 2007.
