Art Mathisen

Arthur Mathisen currently serves as the President and CEO of Good Shepherd Health Care System since July 2023. Previously, Mathisen was the President of Memorial Hospital in MaineHealth North Conway NH, overseeing a critical access hospital and nursing home with significant operational responsibilities. Prior to this role, Mathisen held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Copley Hospital, managing strategic direction and daily operations of a critical access hospital and assisted living facilities. Additional experience includes leadership roles in various healthcare systems, including Bon Secours Health System and Munson Army Health Center, where operational oversight was provided for substantial staff and budgets. Mathisen holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of Maine.
