Kevin Held

Kevin Held has a diverse range of work experience in the IT industry. Kevin is currently working at GoodLeap LLC as the Lead Cloud Security Engineer. Prior to this role, they spent several years at Progressive Insurance, where they held multiple positions including Cloud Security Engineer, IT Systems Engineer Lead, and Cloud Engineer. Before that, they worked at the U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration as a Team Lead for the LAN team. At this position, they were responsible for planning and executing IT projects and maintaining VMware Servers and storage technologies. Kevin also has experience working at Buffalo Communications as a Senior Network and Voice Engineer, where they monitored and troubleshot client networks and handled customer demos and training. Their earliest work experience was at QSE Technologies, where they served as a System Engineer and Engagement Manager, responsible for installing and administering Microsoft Exchange Server and ensuring network security compliance.

Kevin Held holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University - Idaho. Kevin also holds two Associate's Degrees, one in Computer Systems Technology and another in Electronics Engineering Technology, both from Ricks College. In addition to their formal education, Kevin has obtained several certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², CCNA from Cisco, MCSA and Microsoft Certified System Engineer from Microsoft, Netowk+ from CompTIA, and VMware Certified Professional from VMware.
