Darlene Cossio

Darlene Cossio has a diverse range of work experience in marketing and communications. Darlene is currently the Director of Marketing Communications at Goodwill Industries of San Diego County, where they manage various marketing functions and drives the development of compelling content for multi-channel strategies. Prior to this, they owned a successful boutique called Celene's, where they built relationships with brand name vendors and provided quality products and exceptional customer service. Darlene also served as the Sales + Marketing Manager at Noble Environmental Technologies, overseeing Salesforce CRM activities and representing the company in a professional manner. Darlene has a background in the nonprofit sector as well, having worked as the Marketing Director at San Diego Junior Theatre, where they collaborated on marketing strategies and maximized return on marketing investment. Darlene also gained experience as an Account Executive at The Gable Group, where they set marketing goals, monitored campaign success, and reviewed staff's work to ensure goal completion.

Darlene Cossio earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from UC San Diego, which they completed from 1984 to 1988. Most recently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Marketing at National University, from 2020 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification in the Senior Leadership Program from Goodwill Industries International in October 2019.
