Patrick Michaels

Patrick Michaels is the current President & CEO at Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina. Patrick previously served as the President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of New Mexico from January 2000 to December 2007.

During their time with Goodwill Industries of New Mexico, Patrick led the organization through a period of significant growth. Patrick increased persons served and placed by over 200% and produced over 15% annual revenue growth. The organization's operational efficiency was in the top 10% of all Goodwill organizations nation-wide. Additionally, Patrick earned multiple 3-year accreditations by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Patrick also developed a marketing campaign and donor satisfaction program that increased public awareness and service quality, resulting in nearly a 300% increase in material donors. Patrick also completed a $3.5 million renovation of corporate headquarters and a capital campaign that raised over $1 million.

In partnership with the Board of Directors, Patrick implemented an ongoing planning, evaluation, and quality improvement program that resulted in winning the Quality New Mexico’s Pinon Award. Patrick also implemented an innovative risk management and employee safety program that reduced the cost of commercial and worker’s compensation insurance.

Patrick Michaels has a B.A. in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Organization Development from Central Washington University. Patrick also has a certification from Goodwill Industries International as a Certified Executive.
