Cynthia Bennett

Cynthia Bennett is a Senior Research Scientist at Google, focusing on Responsible AI and Human Centered Technology since September 2022. Previously, Cynthia held positions as a Researcher at Apple and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University from January 2020 to May 2022. Between September 2014 and January 2020, Cynthia served as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington, while also completing research internships at Microsoft Research and Microsoft Research Cambridge, where projects centered on technology access for individuals with visual impairments. Cynthia began their academic journey with a Ph.D. in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington and holds a B.A. in Psychology, African American Studies, and Women's Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
