E. Ferhat Muhtar

E. Ferhat Muhtar is an accomplished data science leader with extensive experience across major technology companies. Currently serving as Director of Data Science at Google since August 2022, Muhtar leads the Product Data Science team for the Google Search Shopping vertical, focusing on innovative GenAI products. Previous roles include Director and Head of Oculus/VR Data Science at Meta, and Director of AdTech and Marketing Applied Science at Uber, where Muhtar built a high-performing marketing data science team. This role at Uber resulted in significant impact, including recognition through prestigious awards. Muhtar also held senior positions at Walmart Global eCommerce and eBay, and started a career in marketing analytics at Deutsche Telekom. E. Ferhat Muhtar holds a Master of Science in Operations Research & System Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
