Gang Ren

Gang Ren is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the tech industry, currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Google since November 2022. Prior to this role, Gang held positions as a Performance Engineer at Meta and as VP of Engineering at Ant Financial, where responsibilities included building infrastructure for large-scale real-time data analytics. Gang's experience at Google began in 2006, progressing from Software Engineer to various leadership roles, including founding a new-generation data platform. With a solid educational background, including a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Gang has consistently contributed to advancements in data management and performance optimization throughout a distinguished career.
