Giles Hogben

Giles Hogben currently serves as the Senior Director of Android Privacy Engineering at Google, leading a team focused on privacy for the Android operating system since October 2013. Previously, Giles held the position of Research Director for the EMEA region at the Cloud Security Alliance, managing various research initiatives from June 2012 to August 2013. Prior experience includes serving as Programme Manager for Secure Services at ENISA, where Giles produced security and privacy assessments, and as a researcher at the Joint Research Centre, contributing to a significant European R&D project on Privacy and Identity Management. Giles holds a PhD in Security Engineering from Gdansk University of Technology and dual MA and BA degrees in Physics and Philosophy from the University of Oxford.
