Haiyong Wang

Haiyong Wang is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and networking. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Google since May 2020, Haiyong previously held the position of Senior Director at Alibaba Group, where leadership was provided to the networking R&D team. Prior roles include Software Engineer at Facebook and Principal Development Manager at Microsoft, where Haiyong was instrumental in designing Azure's data center networking and enhancing its performance. Earlier work includes contributions as a Senior Software Design Engineer at Microsoft and as a Research Assistant at the University of Virginia. Haiyong holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
