Rama Govindaraju is a highly accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in high-performance computing and software development. Currently serving as Senior Engineering Director at NVIDIA since August 2024, Rama previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Google since July 2007, leading the Platforms Performance Engineering team. Prior roles included Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, Conference Chair for the HiPC Conference from 2011 to 2013, and Distinguished Engineer at IBM Corporation, where significant contributions were made to the High Performance Computing software team. Additionally, Rama was instrumental in projects such as the development of the ASC Purple supercomputer and the DARPA HPCS project. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BE in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology, along with foundational education at St. Xavier's College and St. Xavier's School in Ranchi.
