Tarik Essawi

Tarik Essawi serves as the Director of Engineering for Cloud Learning Technologies at Google since September 2020, focusing on customer-facing learning platforms and next-generation AI learning experiences. Previously, Tarik held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Capital One, leading a significant cloud transformation initiative. Tarik's career includes roles as VP of Engineering at Learning Objects, where adaptive AI-driven learning management platforms were developed, and VP of Engineering at Rally Health, where an AI stack was created in a startup environment. Early in the career, Tarik was a Software Engineering Manager at Verisign, contributing to mission-critical data services, and holds an MS in Software Engineering from George Mason University.
