Venu Vemula

Venu Vemula is a highly experienced technology professional currently serving as a Google Fellow and Vice President at Google in the Core division since June 2022. Prior to this role, Venu was a Google Fellow in Core::Serving, where efforts focused on rebuilding the search serving backend platform for Google products. Venu's extensive career at Google also includes contributions as a Distinguished Software Engineer, leading the reconstruction of the payment backend stack, and as a Principal Software Engineer, developing mobile ads infrastructure. Previous experience includes roles at Stratify, Inc., ADC, Asyst Technologies, and Novell, where Venu held significant leadership positions in architecture and software design. Venu is pursuing a Master of Psychology at Purdue Global, building upon a foundational B.E. degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras.
