Gauri Junnarkar

Gauri Junnarkar has extensive work experience in the field of nutrition and diabetes education. Gauri is the founder and director of Ayurnutrition since 2009, where they serve as an Ayurveda Practitioner, Dietitian, and Certified Diabetes Educator. Gauri has also worked as a Teaching Faculty at UNT (University of North Texas): Olli since February 2019.

Previously, Gauri worked as an Adjunct Professor at Tarrant County College from 2013 to 2018. Gauri also served as a Certified Diabetes Educator/Dietitian at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital HEB, where they provided diabetes education and medical nutrition therapy to various patients, including those with cardiovascular and renal conditions. Additionally, they worked at Diabetes America as a Certified Diabetes Educator/Dietitian from 2012 to 2014.

Prior to that, Gauri held multiple roles at Baylor Healthcare system. Gauri worked as a Certified Diabetes Educator/Outpatient Dietitian from 2006 to 2012, providing diabetes education, insulin management, and nutrition therapy to patients. Gauri also served as an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian during a brief period in 2006, providing nutrition assessment and therapy for acute and chronic patients, as well as nutrition support to ICU, NICU, PCU, and oncology patients.

Recently, Gauri joined Goomi Group, Inc. in July 2022 as a Speaker/Corporate Wellness Presenter.

Gauri Junnarkar has a diverse educational background in the field of healthcare and nutrition. Gauri holds a Master's Degree in Nutrition Sciences from Texas Woman's University, obtained at an unspecified time. In 1995, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine/Ayurveda from the University of Mumbai, which they pursued until 2001. Gauri also obtained a Certification in Massage Therapy/Therapeutic Massage from Kekino Massage Academy in 2015.

In addition to their degrees, Gauri has acquired several certifications. Gauri is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), granted by the Certificate Board for Diabetes Education and Care (CBDCE). Gauri is also a Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN), certified by the Commission On Dietetic Registration.
