Tim Schott has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tim began their career at Broadway Automotive as a Collision Technician/Detail Technician in 2004 and then moved on to Motorwerks BMW as a Detail Technician in 2006. In 2007, Tim worked as a Designer/Drafter at RFA Minnesota Engineering, where they designed functional products and created presentations for clients. Tim then served as a Student Ambassador at Northwest Technical Institute before joining Phygen Coatings, Inc in 2009 as a Mechanical Designer. At Phygen Coatings, they designed ultra-high vacuum PVD coating systems and reverse engineered parts for competitive manufacturing and coating. Tim also worked at World Ferrari in 2012 as a Technician, performing tasks such as vintage race car mechanics, pit crew, and general service mechanics for high-performance cars. From 2009 to 2017, they worked at Eurowerks Inc. as a Staff member. Finally, they are currently working at Gopher Resource since 2012, initially as a Process Engineer, and then progressing to Senior R&D Engineer, R&D Engineering Manager, and currently as a Principal Engineer.
Tim Schott received their Associate Degree in Engineering CAD Technology from Northwest Technical Institute in 2007. Tim later went on to earn their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of North Dakota from 2015 to 2019.
