Chris Towne has a diverse work experience in the field of gene therapy and neuroscience. Chris started their career at Tissue Therapeutics as a Research Assistant in 2003, before pursuing their Neuroscience PhD at EPFL from 2004 to 2010. Chris then held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at EPFL from 2010 to 2010. In 2011, they joined Stanford University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow until 2012 and also worked as a Consulting Assistant Professor during this period. From 2012 to 2019, Chris Towne worked at Circuit Therapeutics, Inc, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Scientist, Director of Gene Therapy, and Senior Director of Gene Therapy. Chris is currently employed as the Vice President of Gene Therapy at Gordian Biotechnology since February 2019.
Chris Towne completed their PhD in Neuroscience from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from the years 2004 to 2010. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2003, they pursued their BAppSci (Hons) in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Chris'seducation history shows that they also attended Villanova College from 1997 to 1998, although no degree or field of study was specified for this period.
