Jasper van Dessel

Jasper van Dessel has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of project management, market data management, digital energy solutions engineering, and maintenance engineering. In 2012, they worked part-time as a Maintenance Technician at BMG Media while also studying. Jasper then completed an internship as a Maintenance Engineer Automation at Jan De Nul Group in 2013. Starting in 2016, they joined Tractebel - ENGIE GROUP as a Digital Energy Solutions Engineer, where they developed software for simulating electricity systems and focused on optimization algorithms for smart grids and energy system planning. In 2018, they transitioned to Accenture as an Atrias Delivery Lead, responsible for coordinating the implementation of new regulation and leading a team of market experts and analysts. Jasper also served as an Eneco Market Data Manager at Accenture from 2020 to 2022, managing data exchange and communication with the energy market and ensuring market compliance. Currently, they hold the position of Project Manager at Gorilla - Decisions, based on data, starting from 2022.

Jasper van Dessel's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Werktuigkunde-Elektrotechniek from Ghent University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. Jasper then pursued a Master's degree in Werktuigkunde-Elektrotechniek: Automation and Control from Ghent University from 2012 to 2014. After that, they studied Mathematical Engineering at KU Leuven from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, in 2015, they attended ETH Zürich for a brief period to study Automation and Control Engineering at the Master's level.

In terms of additional certifications, Jasper obtained the SaFe Product Manager / Product Owner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2019. Jasper also obtained the Data Architect Associate certification from Accenture in November 2020.
