Niels Bang

Niels Bang is Gorrissen Federspiel's chairman of the board and associated with the specialist group for Corporate/M&A, where he helps Danish and foreign companies with company law, fund law, M&A transactions, venture capital, ownership agreements, and incentive programs. Niels has advised on and negotiated a large number of company transfers, mergers, and restructurings in many different industries. He has market-leading experience with investments and exits within the life science area.

With over 20 board positions, Niels has considerable experience as a board member and active sparring partner when it comes to matters of organization and business. Niels uses his network actively to create business and transaction opportunities for his clients. He is also chairman of the board of Gorrissen Federspiel.

Niels is Denmark's representative in the Committee for Company Law under the Association of Bar Councils in Europe (CCBE) and a member of the board of the Danish Association for Company Law, the Danish Bar Association, and the Danish Business Committee for advice and knowledge services.

Within M&A transactions, Niels Bang has, among other things, advised several Private Equity funds as well as a large number of industrial companies. In relation to investments and exits within life science, he advises a number of the largest pharmaceutical and life science companies and foundations. Finally, Niels regularly advises companies within company law, M&A, contracts and general business law and has drawn up incentive programs for several listed and unlisted companies.
