Paul Smietan

Paul Smietan has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1981 with the Hughes Aircraft Company where they were a Member of Technical Staff and worked in the Space and Communications Division, Defense Systems, and Hughes Communications (Network Systems). Paul then worked as a Contract Software Engineer at IBM from 1990 to 1995. From 1995 to 2002, Paul was a Senior Consultant II and Software Engineer at Microsoft. Paul then moved on to CONCEIVETECH as a Principal Software Engineer from 2002 to 2006, and then to GoScan as CTO from 2006 to 2015. In 2015, they returned to Bulzi, LLC as a Principal Software Engineer, and from 2018 to 2020, they were a Software Engineer Consultant at Coinstar. Paul is currently Vice President Software at Currance, a position they have held since 2022.

Paul Smietan received their Computer Science degree from Loyola Marymount University between 1984 and 1988. In 1997, they obtained their Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft. The following year, they received their Microsoft MCSD certification from Microsoft. In December 2019, they earned their UiPath Developer Advanced Certificate from UiPath.
