Julien Turcot has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Julien started their career as a Support Technician at Ticketmaster in 2000. Julien then worked as a Manager of Operations at Telus Solution d'affaire from 2002 to 2003.
From 2003 to 2010, Julien worked at CGI, initially as a Network and Security Architect, where they were responsible for creating budgets, sales plans, and relationship management. Julien later served as a Senior Network Consultant.
Julien then joined The Herjavec Group in 2009 as an Enterprise Account Manager, successfully building the brand and business in Quebec. Julien became the top producing region for net new business in Canada, working with major Enterprises across various industries.
In 2012, Julien joined Bell as a Senior Sales Security Solutions Specialist. Julien was responsible for selling security solutions and contributing to the company's growth.
From 2013 to 2016, Julien worked at Check Point Software Technologies as a Major Account Executive, focused on managing major accounts.
Julien served as the Vice-président exécutif at Association de la Sécurité de l’Information du Québec (ASIQ) from 2012 to 2018. Julien developed a business strategy, identified target markets and customers, settled agreements, and promoted ASIQ's services and visibility.
In 2020, Julien became the Executive Director at Innovotive, a position they held until 2022.
Julien has also been involved in the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Québec since 2021, serving as a Governor.
Currently, Julien is working at GoSecure. Julien started as the Vice President Strategic Sales & Bid Desk from 2016 to 2018. Julien then served as the Vice-President Business Partnerships from 2018 to 2022. Julien's most recent role is the VP of Sales, where they lead and directs the sales team, develops sales strategies, and identifies new business opportunities.
Julien Turcot has a diverse education history. In 1998 to 2001, they obtained a College Degree in Science from Cegep de Sainte-Foy. Julien then pursued a degree in Computer Science Network Management at Cégep Limoilou from 2002 to 2005. Julien also furthered their studies at Cégep Limoilou from 2005 to 2006, specializing in Network Intrusion Detections at the intermediate level. In 2006, they obtained a certification in Network Security Linux Platform at an advanced level from the same institution.
Continuing their education, Julien participated in Defcon 16, an event focused on Ethical Hacking, in 2008. Julien also earned certifications in Cybersecurity Essentials from Cybrary in July 2020, and GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) from the SANS Institute in January 2009.
In 2018, Julien pursued a Certificate in Innovation Marketing at MIT Sloan School of Management, specializing in marketing and general management. Julien went on to gain certifications in Effective Negotiating from KARRASS® Effective Negotiating and Target Account Selling (TAS) from The TAS Group in January 2016. In June 2020, they completed the Becoming a Trusted Advisor program at Success Through Trust Inc.
Julien further enhanced their skills by obtaining certifications in Channel Partners Sell Training from K12 Channel Partners, LLC. in January 2016 and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from the SANS Institute in January 2008. In August 2021, they achieved the Harmony Sales Specialist certification from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd.
Julien has planned to undertake a program on Communication and Persuasion in the Digital Age at MIT Sloan School of Management in 2023 to further expand their knowledge in corporate communication.
