Delroy began his career in information technology in 1989 at Gottlieb Financial Services as the night systems manager. About this same time, electronic medical record systems (EMRs) were just beginning to be installed in hospitals on a broad scale. As their business has grown and technologies have developed over the past years, he gained knowledge and experience with all EMRs; converting from a paper system to an electronic system.
As IT Director in 2000, Delroy was part of the original programming team that wrote and designed the proprietary system and processes that are still the core of their current software. Delroy’s strengths lie in optimizing patient data flow, managing large projects and applications, directing multiple teams of developers and network engineers, and overseeing reliable and continuous IT operations. He was also the catalyst in developing and implementing inter-department work flow measures while instituting a teamwork culture across departments. He is adept at dealing with complex situations and problems and in recruiting team members with positive attitudes and skills to work together to achieve desired results.
As CIO since 2004, Delroy’s primary role is to oversee the design and development of the company’s technological infrastructure (networks, computer systems, and platforms) to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, he is tasked with streamlining and finding solutions for an ever-changing healthcare market.
