Matthieu Speeckaert has over 15 years of professional experience in the finance and social entrepreneurship sectors. Matthieu started their career in 2006 as a Financial Advisor Investment at Citibank. In 2009, they moved to CBC Banque & Assurance as a Professional Banker. In 2016, they were a Founding Member of 4Wings Foundation, a Belgian venture philanthropist and impact investor. Matthieu also founded GoVR.eu and was a Board Member and early believer of BeCode.org, a Belgian coding school. In 2020, they became a Farmer, and in 2021 they became a Co-Founder of SOMA Foundation.
Matthieu Speeckaert obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business & Economics from Vrije Universiteit Brussel between 2001 and 2005. Matthieu then attended Ichec Brussels Management School from 2010 to 2011, where they earned a DES in Finance. In 2013, they attended Stanford University for IT and Entrepreneurship, and they also obtained a Master's Degree in Information Technology Administration and Management from Golden Gate University that same year. Additionally, they have a Certificate from the Federation of Young Farmers in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences.
