Guy Brand has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Guy has held various roles in different companies throughout their career. Starting in 2005, they worked in system support at EY while studying. In 2006, they moved to Swiss Professional Media AG, where they worked as a web developer, implementing and designing new features for multiple websites. At Novartis, from 2004 to 2010, they worked as a web developer, creating mockups and designing and implementing projects using Adobe Flash. In 2010, they joined Canoo Engineering AG as a software engineer, where they built a Gradle-based build for customer projects using the ULC framework and implemented a soccer tip game. In 2012, Guy Brand joined edorasware ag as a software engineer, and later became the head of engineering. Guy led the product team, managed sprints and agile methodologies, and was responsible for team expansion and architecture of the company’s work management software products. In 2018, they joined Gradle Inc. as a senior software engineer and worked their way up to becoming a senior lead software engineer.
Guy Brand earned a Bachelor's degree with specialization in image processing in Computer Science from FHNW in 2008. Guy then obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from FHNW in 2010. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in various fields, including Professional Scrum Master, Pivotal Certified Spring Professional, and Oracle Certified Professional.
