Sarah Prins

Sarah Prins has a diverse work experience in the medical communications field. Sarah has held various roles, starting with their current position as Director of Medical Communications at GRAIL, Inc. since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Director of Medical Communications at GRAIL, Inc. from September 2018 to February 2022.

Before joining GRAIL, Inc., Sarah was a Senior Medical Writer at Natera from March 2017 to September 2018. In this role, they were responsible for writing and editing genetic screening and circulating cell-free DNA research publications. Sarah also collaborated with various departments within the company, including Research & Development, Statistics, Medical Affairs, Clinical Trials, Product/Strategy, and Marketing. Sarah utilized Adobe InDesign and Illustrator to develop scientific publication materials.

Sarah's career in medical communications began at Prescott Medical Communications Group in November 2014. Sarah initially worked as an Account Executive in Medical Writing until August 2015, after which they transitioned to the role of Associate Medical Writer until March 2017.

Sarah Prins completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neuroscience and Behavior (Molecular Track) from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 2004 to 2009. Sarah then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Loyola University Chicago. Sarah'sPhD was focused on Cell Biology, Neurobiology, and Anatomy and was completed between 2009 and 2014. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) from ISMPP (International Society for Medical Publication Professionals) in September 2019.
