Nicholas Schaefer

Nicholas Schaefer is a Maintenance Reliability Engineer at Grain Processing Corporation since June 2018, responsible for mechanical integrity and enhancing equipment reliability at the Washington plant. Previously, Nicholas served as a Division Engineer in the Alcohol and Utilities departments, overseeing daily operations and coordinating contractors and operators, as well as in a Maintenance Division Engineer role, focused on improving the lifespan of rotating equipment. Nicholas began the professional journey as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student at Grain Processing Corporation, completing five co-op terms that provided extensive knowledge in the corn wet milling industry and experience in project management within the Corporate Engineering Department. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, earned between 2013 and 2018.
