Deb Sanders

Deb Sanders is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in staff relations, compensation planning, and labor relations. Currently serving as the Director of Staff Relations and Compensation at Grand Valley State University since November 2019, Deb previously held the position of Senior Compensation Consultant at National Heritage Academies from April 2016 to November 2019, where expertise in compensation analysis and design was demonstrated. Deb’s earlier career at Grand Rapids Community College encompassed various roles, including Labor Relations and EO Generalist, Human Resource Generalist, and Employment Specialist, where key responsibilities included collective bargaining, grievance resolution, ADA compliance, and employee recruitment. Deb holds a Master's Degree in Human Resource Development from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Education/Psychology from Michigan State University.
