Sean Lancaster

AVP for Academic Affairs at Grand Valley State University

Sean Lancaster serves as the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and a Professor at Grand Valley State University, where involvement spans over two decades since August 2000. Recognition includes the 2018 Outstanding Teaching Award from GVSU’s graduate students for exemplary teaching. Key accomplishments feature leadership roles such as Assistant Vice President responsible for Accreditation and Strategic Planning, and Department Chair for Literacy and Technology, where a significant curricular reorganization was spearheaded. Earlier in career, work at the KU Center for Research on Learning involved training and project coordination on various educational initiatives. Sean Lancaster holds a Ph.D. in Special Education with a focus on Technology, as well as both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.
