Alexander (Sandy) McDonald

Alexander (Sandy) McDonald is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Superintendent of Schools/CEO at Grande Prairie Public School Division since December 2015. Previously, Alexander held multiple roles within the Grande Prairie Public School District, including Deputy Superintendent and various principal positions, as well as serving as the Zone 1 Director for the College of Alberta School Superintendents. Alexander's career began in teaching various subjects at the junior high and high school levels from 1991 to 1997. Academically, Alexander has earned multiple degrees, including a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University.
