Shi Yiing Tan

Shi Yiing Tan began their work experience in 2010 as the Director of Communications for AIESEC UTM, where they managed external and internal communications for the organization. Shi Yiing then worked as a Workshop Speaker in the Southeast Asia SPE Student Chapter Conference in 2011, conducting a session on "Marketing 101" to enhance students' abilities. Later that year, they also served as a member of the Learning Task Force in AIESEC in UTM, creating learning syllabuses and modules for different departments.

In 2012, Shi Yiing Tan interned at the Shanghai Himalaya Art Museum and worked as a Graduate Trainee at Altera. Shi Yiing also served as a Final Year Student of Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

In 2013, they joined Genesys | Interactive Intelligence as an Associate System Engineer and worked on level 1 issues coming from partners and customers. In 2014, they were promoted to the role of System Engineer (Level 3) and became a direct point of technical contact for high-quality support. Shi Yiing further advanced their career at Genesys | Interactive Intelligence, becoming a Senior System Engineer in 2016 and taking ownership of support incidents.

Currently, Shi Yiing Tan works at Grandstream Networks as a VOIP Voice Network Technical Support Engineer (APAC), where they utilize their expertise in technical support for voice network systems in the Asia-Pacific region.

Shi Yiing Tan completed their education in telecommunications engineering. Shi Yiing first obtained a Diploma of Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, which they pursued from 2006 to 2009. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Telecommunications Engineering from the same institution, completing it from 2006 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, Shi Yiing Tan achieved the Grandstream Certified Specialist certification from Grandstream Networks in November 2017. Shi Yiing also obtained certifications from 3CX, including the 3CX Intermediate Certified Engineer v15 certification, 3CX Advanced Certified Engineer v15 Certificate, and 3CX Basic Certified Engineer v15. Lastly, they completed the HRDF e-LATiH PRACTICE LABS INTRODUCTION TO WIRESHARK - HANDS-ON LABS program offered by HRDF - Human Resources Development Fund Malaysia.
