David J. Wood

David J. Wood is a seasoned professional in construction estimating and project management with over 25 years of experience. Currently serving as a Senior Estimator at Granite Construction since October 2019, David leads significant cost estimates for major Caltrans projects, including a $300 million CMGC estimate and a $200 million Bid/Build estimate. Previously, David held the role of Chief Estimator at Catworks Construction from July 2016 to September 2019, overseeing estimating activities and managing project procurement. David's extensive career at Granite Construction began in June 1996, progressing through various roles such as Estimator, Project Manager, and Project Engineer, while also serving in a senior capacity until June 2016. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University between 1990 and 1996.
