Scott M Davis, MD, MA, FASAM has had a diverse range of work experiences in the medical field. Scott M first worked as a Consultant in Addiction and Internal Medicine at Addiction and Internal Medicine starting in January 2008. Scott M then became the Director of Addiction Medicine at Community Substance Abuse Centers from December 2013 to July 2014. After that, they served as an MD at PCHC from June 2010 to January 2013. Later, they joined Liberty Bay Recovery as the Medical Director from April 2016 to November 2019. Additionally, they took on the role of Medical Director at Granite Recovery Centers in November 2019, where they currently serve.

Scott M Davis, MD, MA, FASAM began their education at Boston University Graduate School in 1986, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Physiology in 1988. Scott M then went on to attend Boston University School of Medicine from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine. Following their medical degree, in 2002 they completed a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Loma Linda University, which they concluded in 2003.

In addition to their educational background, Dr. Davis has obtained several certifications. Scott M became a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine in 2008. Scott M also holds the certification of Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, which they initially obtained in 2015 and has since been recertified. Finally, they are a Certified Medical Review Officer, although the details of when and where they obtained this certification are not specified.
