Chris Larsen has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple roles and organizations. In 2006, they worked as a Customer Service Team Manager at Icon Health and Fitness until 2010. Larsen then transitioned to education and joined Granite School District as a 5th Grade Teacher from 2010 to 2013. Following that, they served as an Intern Assistant Principal at the same district from 2013 to 2014. Larsen continued their career in education and held the position of 6th Grade STEM Teacher at Granite School District from 2014 to 2015. Chris then became an Assistant Principal from 2015 to 2016 and eventually became the Director of Educational Technology in June 2016, a role they still hold at Granite School District. In addition to their work in the education sector, Larsen also took on the role of Board President at UTAH COALITION FOR EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY from July 2017 to July 2022. Presently, Larsen is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Utah, starting in June 2018.
Chris Larsen earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Utah State University, completing this program from 2006 to 2010. Later, from 2013 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Instructional Leadership from Utah State University as well. In addition, they obtained several certifications including a Certified Educational Technology Leader certification from the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) in 2017, a Utah State Administrative/Supervisory Certificate in May 2014, an ESL Endorsement in June 2013, and a Utah Level II Teaching License in June 2013.
