As the leader for accreditation and regulatory compliance, Kim’s work focuses on alignment of policies and processes to meet accreditation and legal requirements and support continual improvement. Her broad background in higher education spans more than 35 years and includes work with public and private institutions. Prior to her institutional assurance role, she served as the Associate Dean and Director of Compliance and Quality Assurance at the Global Campus of the University of Arkansas, the System’s flagship institution. There she was responsible for state authorization, collaborating with colleges and schools for online course development and approval, implementation of academic integrity policies and proctoring processes for online offerings. Before joining the University of Arkansas, Kim was Dean of Academic Outreach and Extended Programs at the University of Central Arkansas where she led the development and funding of the institution’s outreach initiatives, including the support and delivery of all online and off-campus offerings. For over a decade, she worked in proprietary higher education serving in various administrative capacities, including president of a degree-granting institution that held national, regional, and programmatic accreditation. Kim has experience in leading state and regional school improvement initiatives and serving as an evaluator for national and regional accrediting organizations.
