Dr.nasrin Begam

Dr. Nasrin Begam has extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Dr.Nasrin currently serves as an R&D Manager at Granules India Limited since 2022. Previously, they worked as a Research Scientist at Sajjala Bio Labs Pvt. Ltd. from 2021 to 2022, where they successfully executed various R&D projects related to pharmaceuticals such as Liraglutide, L Asparaginase, and Pegylated Asparaginase.

Prior to that, Dr. Begam worked as a Guest Worker at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2020. Dr.Nasrin also held the position of Junior Research Fellow at JNIAS School of Planning and Architecture from 2011 to 2019, focusing on the identification of epigenetic factors in the early detection of breast cancer. Dr.Nasrin also worked as an Assistant Researcher at Princeton University in 2010, where they contributed to the isolation and screening of denitrifier strains.

Dr. Nasrin Begam began their research career as a Junior Research Fellow at Kalyani University in 2007, where they were involved in a project on induced mutagenesis in Black cumin. Dr.Nasrin also worked as a Project Assistant at the Indian Statistical Institute from 2006 to 2007, where they conducted plant secondary metabolite extractions and purification.

Overall, Dr. Nasrin Begam has a diverse range of experience in research and development within the pharmaceutical and biological fields, with expertise in project planning and execution, process development, and molecular analysis techniques.

Dr. Nasrin Begam completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Botany (Honours), Zoology, and Chemistry from Burdwan University in Burdwan in 2002. Dr.Nasrin went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Botany/Plant Biology from Burdwan University from 2002 to 2004. Later, they enrolled in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oncology and Cancer Biology from 2011 to 2019. Additionally, Dr. Begam obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Patent Law from the National Academy of Legal Studies & Research (NALSAR) University in Hyderabad, completing the program from 2017 to 2018.
