Maliya Naz is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in media, science, and public engagement. Currently serving as a NASA O-STEM Public Engagement Intern, Maliya has also held roles as an Editorial Assistant at GDUSA Magazine, where responsibilities included writing and editing graphic design news articles, and as a Science and Design Exhibition Intern at Ouroboros Projects, collaborating with artist Kate Doyle on climate change-focused installations. Maliya has contributed as a writer for Allure Magazine and Byrdie, passionately highlighting the achievements of Muslim women and women of color. Previous positions include editing at Muslim Girl, where Maliya prioritized marginalized topics, and conducting research for advocacy at Stand With Kashmir. Maliya holds degrees in Global Studies and Creative Coding from The New School.
