Matthew Harrison

Matthew Harrison has extensive experience in the broadcast industry, with a focus on DevOps and technical support. Matthew currently holds the position of Head of Technical Services at Stage. Prior to this, they worked at Grass Valley as a DevOps Team Lead, DevOps Engineer, and Solutions Specialist with DevOps, where they played a key role in implementing and maintaining cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Before joining Grass Valley, Matthew worked at Miranda Technologies as an Engineer, specializing in development and QA of broadcast automation systems. Matthew also has experience at Omnibus Systems as a Technical Account Manager, where they supported existing systems and implemented new custom systems for European broadcasters. Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at TransMedia Dynamics as a Software Developer, Oracle DBA, and Broadcast Engineer/Project Manager, and at Hewlett-Packard as a Head Engineer, focusing on tape head manufacturing processes. Their diverse background encompasses technical expertise, project management, and customer support in the broadcast industry.

Matthew Harrison attended the University of Oxford from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. Following this, they pursued further education at Aston University from 1994 to 1998, successfully completing a PhD in Physics.
