Kay Röpke

Kay Röpke has extensive work experience in the IT field. Starting in 2000, they owned and operated their own software development company, classdump. In 2001, they worked as a Software Engineer at mobile.de. In 2004, they were a Software Engineer at epublica GmbH, where they helped create and operate the software powering XING, and lead the development of the first full text search engine. In 2005, they contributed to the ANTLR Parser Generator Project. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at MySQL AB, then as a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle. In 2011, they worked as a Software Architect at XING, where they advised the search team and eventually led a cross functional team to implement a more resilient and scalable search infrastructure for all search needs. From 2013 to 2016, they were the VP Product Management at Graylog, Inc. and from 2016 to the present, they have been an IT Consultant.

Kay Röpke attended Vestal Senior High School from 1996 to 1997. Kay then attended the University of Hamburg from 2002 to 2006, where they studied Mathematics, Physics, and Meteorology.
