Vanessa Teo

Vanessa Teo's work experience includes serving as the Chief Financial & Operating Officer at Great American Insurance Group since 2015. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer at QBE Asia from 2006 to 2014. Additionally, Vanessa held the position of Director of Finance And Operations (Asia and Europe) at MetLife in 2006. Vanessa also worked as a Finance Manager (Head of Finance) at GE Insurance Solutions from 2005 to 2006 and at ACE Insurance Limited from 1998 to 2002. Vanessa began their career as a Regional Internal Auditor at AIG from 1994 to 1998. Vanessa also worked as a Business Consultant at Insurance Australia Group from 2002 to 2005.

Vanessa Teo has a diverse education history in the field of accountancy. Vanessa obtained their ACCA/FCCA degree from The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in 1996. In the following year, they became a Fellow, Chartered Accountant of Singapore after studying at the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. In 2004, Vanessa pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Melbourne - Melbourne Business School. Most recently, in 2021, they completed the ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant program at ACPACC. Vanessa has also obtained additional certifications, including a Fellow, Chartered Accountant and a Fellow, Chartered Certified Accountant. The institutions where they obtained these certifications are the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and ACCA, respectively.
