Dick Pursley

Dick Pursley has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a career spanning over three decades. Their most recent position is as the Chair of The Reliability Advisory Council at Midwest Reliability Organization, a role they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Great River Energy, where they held various roles including Director of Operations and Transmission Services, Manager of System Operations, and Transmission Operations Engineer. Dick joined Great River Energy in 1999 and left in 2021. Before working at Great River Energy, they were a System Operations Engineer at Alliant Energy for a year and held the same position at Interstate Power Company for nearly a decade.

Dick Pursley obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where they attended from 1981 to 1986. Following this, they pursued further education at the same institution and earned a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from 1986 to 1989.
