Jeremy Alexander

Jeremy Alexander has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Jeremy is currently working at Great River Health as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they have made significant contributions to the company by acquiring a 25-bed critical access hospital, resulting in an additional $35 million of net revenue. Jeremy has also generated $21 million of revenue through their financial strategies.

Prior to this, Jeremy worked at Fort Madison Community Hospital as the President and Chief Executive Officer. Jeremy successfully led the hospital through a strategic positioning process, negotiating the establishment of a community health foundation and a merger with a larger health system. During their tenure, they recruited 15 physicians and 3 advanced practice professionals, resulting in an increase of $6 million in net revenue. Jeremy also served as the Chief Financial Officer, generating $4.4 million in net revenue through various initiatives.

Before joining Fort Madison Community Hospital, Jeremy held positions such as Controller, Revenue Cycle Specialist, and Clinical Analyst. In their role as a Clinical Analyst, they developed web applications that improved process workflows and implemented an ambulatory EHR system.

Jeremy Alexander earned their Bachelor of Business degree in Finance from Western Illinois University in 2006. Jeremy then went on to complete their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on finance and marketing at the same university from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their degrees, Jeremy has obtained certifications including Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association in 2017 and Certified Healthcare Financial Professional in 2016, both from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
