Martin Raffel has extensive work experience in the field of healthcare analytics and informatics. Martin currently holds the position of Director of Continuing Care Services Data and Analytics at GBMC HealthCare, a role they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Johns Hopkins HealthCare for seven years as an Assistant Director of Health Services Clinical Analytics. Before that, they served as an EpicCare Ambulatory Project Leader and Clinical Informatics and Performance Improvement Manager at Johns Hopkins Medicine from May 2011 to March 2014. Additionally, they worked at Johns Hopkins HealthCare from October 2001 to May 2011, initially as a Business Analyst, then as a Health Data Analyst, and finally as a Program Manager of Research and Development. Martin also has experience as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Baltimore from September 2009 to May 2012.
Martin Raffel holds a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland and an MS in Health Systems Management from the University of Baltimore. Martin has also completed the Leading Transformation for Value-Based Health Care Executive Education Program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Martin has obtained various certifications, including Leadership in Population Health Analytics and CORE Leadership Development Program. Martin has also received certifications in Epic software, including Epic Healthy Planet, Epic MyChart, and EpicCare Ambulatory. In addition, they hold a Professional Certification in Management Skills from Learning Tree International.
