Taryn McCook

Taryn McCook is an experienced professional in research and evaluation, currently serving as the Director of Research & Evaluation at the Greater Chicago Food Depository since May 2013. Taryn's work focuses on evaluating programs and policies to address food inequity and insecurity while managing insights to support equitable decision-making. Prior roles include Senior Manager and Manager of Research & Evaluation at Great Cities Institute, where Taryn provided technical assistance and developed communication materials, and as a Research Assistant in two capacities at the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs. Taryn began as a paralegal at Azulay, Horn & Seiden LLC before pursuing a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, following a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
