Kristie Cox

Kristie Cox has over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications. Kristie is currently working as the Manager of Internal Communications at Greater Cleveland RTA since August 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Marketing Manager at the same company from March 2020 to August 2022.

Before joining Greater Cleveland RTA, Kristie worked at SARTA from October 2012 to September 2019. Kristie served as a Marketing Manager from February 2015 to September 2019, and as a Communication Administrator from October 2012 to February 2015.

Earlier in their career, Kristie worked as a Marketing Specialist at The Ruhlin Company from August 2008 to August 2010.

Kristie also has experience at ICP Adhesives & Sealants, Inc. (formerly Fomo Products, Inc.) where they held the role of Marketing Coordinator Partners Program Manager from November 2003 to August 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Printed Materials/Marketing Coordinator from July 2002 to November 2003. In this role, they were responsible for purchasing printed materials, working with private label customers, and supporting the Marketing Specialist on various projects.

Kristie began their career at Power Transmission Technology as a Purchasing Associate from April 2000 to July 2002.

Kristie Cox has a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a Minor in Consumer Marketing from The University of Akron. Kristie also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and Organizational Communications from The University of Akron. Additionally, they have an Associates degree in Arts, PR and Marketing, also from The University of Akron. Prior to their higher education, Kristie attended Wadsworth High School. In terms of certifications, they have obtained the LeadDIVERSITY certification from The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio in June 2022. Kristie also holds a Leadership Essentials certification from The Corporate University, Kent State University - Stark obtained in May 2022. In 2019, they obtained an Integrated Communications Certification from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), as well as an Executive Communications Online Series certification from PRSA. In the same year, they also received a Social Media Certification from The Corporate University, Kent State University - Stark. It is worth noting that Kristie's education history does not include information about obtaining the PRSA Crisis Communication Certification.
