Cathy Bennett

Cathy Bennett is the Sr. Vice President of Public Policy & Programs at the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, a position held since December 2002, where responsibilities include directing federal and state affairs, managing the Public Policy Council, and overseeing membership development along with diversity, inclusion, and small business initiatives. Previously, Cathy served as the Director of Marketing and Communications at The Learning Exchange from 1999 to 2002, focusing on communications and government relations for the charter school movement in Kansas City. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Tourism for the City of Independence from 1996 to 1999, where management encompassed marketing, sales, and development for various tourism attractions. Cathy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northern Arizona University, earned between 1976 and 1980.
